Future Feed Patterns for U.S.
Livestock and Poultry

On December 14, 2012,the USDA Economists Group, C-FARE, and AFIA held a seminar focusing on "Future Feed Patterns for U.S. Livestock and Poultry."

Developments in the biofuels and crops sectors are linked to recent changes in patterns of livestock and poultry production, and potential future directions for the animal agriculture and feed industries. This seminar focuses on how the industry has and will be affected, and some key challenges to monitor. Speakers will address: 1) grain and livestock production efficiency; 2) future bioenergy production; and 3) rapid foreign economic growth.
