NCFAR Presents: ERS & NASS

The Council on Food, Agricultural, and Resource Economics (C-FARE) partnered with the National Coalition For Food and Agricultural Research (NCFAR) to help host a webinar on the USDA’s ERS. & NASS organizations. This event was hosted at 1 pm EST on April 6th and featured the administrators from ERS, NASS, and the CEO of NASDA.

This webinar focused on the USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS) and the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). ERS engages in relevant, timely, and objective research that anticipates trends and emerging issues in agriculture, food, the environment, and rural America and conducts high-quality, objective economic research to inform and enhance public and private decision making.

NASS provides timely, accurate, and essential statistics in service to US agriculture through the hundreds of surveys it conducts every year and the reports it prepares, covering every aspect of US agriculture. Through important work using these two organizations’ outputs, we wish to show the value these organizations bring to the US economy and invite you to join the webinar to learn more.

This webinar featured presentations by:

Spiro Stefanou, The Administrator of the Economic Research Service. His slides are available here for review.

Hubert Hamer, The Administrator of the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service since 2016. His slides are available here for review.
